What To Expect:
The first two visits are the longest visits when you first come to
see me for chiropractic care.  Entailed in these first two visits are
a detailed case history where I learn everything I can about your
specific condition, a comprehensive examination on whatever area
of the body that is hurting you, X-rays (if needed), and a report of
findings where I tell you what I think is wrong with you, about
how long it will take for you to feel better, and what your
insurance benefits are.
First Visit:
The first thing that happens when you come to our clinic, besides
a warm and friendly greeting, is to fill out paperwork. This
paperwork is part of the detailed case history where you tell me
about your condition. This patient intake form is long and can take
up to 10 minutes to fill out but it is one of the most important
tools that I use to determine what is hurting you. To cut your time
down in the clinic I have included all four pages of the intake form
below so you can print them out on your computer and bring
them in with you on your first visit.

Chiropractic Care Is A Family Affair
After we talk about the intake form and I ask you other questions about your condition I do a comprehensive examination on that area of the body.
This examination consists of range of motion, orthopedic, muscular, and neurological tests. These tests are performed to specify where and what type
of condition you have. Then based on the exam and history findings I decide if X-rays are needed. Chiropractic and medical X-rays are very similar in
how they are taken but differ a little bit in how they are read. When a medical doctor reads the X-ray he/she is looking mainly for pathologies or broken
bones. When a chiropractor reads an X-ray we are looking for those things too but we also look for biomechanical changes. After the X-rays are read
then you are ready for the first adjustment. An adjustment is when a chiropractor moves a bone that is malpositioned or subluxated.. I explain more
about adjustments and subluxations in visit number two or if you want to look them up on your own, I explain everything on this website. If you have
power point on your computer you can look at the health care class in the newsletters and presentations section that explains everything too.
Second Visit:
The three biggest questions that patients have when they come in are: 1) What is hurting me? 2) How long will it take to fix? 3) How much will it cost?
In the second visit I talk about these three questions. Based on the findings from the first visit I tell you what is hurting you, if Chiropractic can help,
and how long it should take for you to feel better. The third question, how much will it cost, is based on your insurance coverage. After you leave my
office I call your insurance company to verify insurance benefits to see if you have a yearly deductible or a co-pay then at your second visit we talk
about those benefits. I have a list of the insurance that I am in-network with and accept. I also have a discounted $30 per visit cash plan. This includes
the exam on the first visit.
A Typical Visit:
Each visit after the first two can range from five minutes to thirty minutes. This depends on any therapies you need or if you have any questions or
concerns on how your care is progressing. It is important to ask any questions you may have about any aspect of your care.
