Why Acupuncture?

Wolf Family Chiropractic Clinic in Mukwonago provides a comfortable environment for one-on-one consultations and acupuncture treatments. Natural healing techniques and private consultations are designed to fit each patient's needs.  Safe and effective acupuncture treatments, lifestyle, and nutritional recommendations are used to promote overall health and well-being.

A Natural Form of Healing

Chinese medicine views the human body as a complete organic entity that interconnects the external world and the physical body through a series of natural laws.  Chinese medicine focuses attention on the patient rather than on the disease, grouping together signs and symptoms of a disease and synthesizing them. When a clear picture appears, the acupuncturist can provide a diagnosis of the patient as a whole.

What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a complementary medical practice that entails stimulating certain points on the body, most often with a needle penetrating the skin, to alleviate pain or to help treat various health conditions. In traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture is linked to the belief that disease is caused by disruptions to the flow of energy, or qi, in the body. Acupuncture stimulates points on or under the skin called acupuncture points or acupressure points, releasing this qi. The qi then travels through channels called meridians.

Developed millennia ago in China, numerous recent studies conducted by scientists in Europe and the United States have found that acupuncture is at least moderately effective in treating pain.

Wolf Family Chiropractic does not have a full-time acupuncturist on staff. We contract with Dr. Hong Park with Healing Power Acupuncture & Herbs. Dr. Park will treat you in one of our exam rooms. If you would like an appointment with Dr. Park call us at 262-363-3909 and we will set up your appointment.
